- The Islamiyaat department is the heart and soul of MIST. It is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the Islamic curriculum across all educational departments, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that nourishes both the mind and the spirit.
- The department also extends its reach beyond the confines of the institution through outreach programs in various districts across Zambia, including Kazungula, Livingstone, Nakambala, Lubombo, Nega Nega, Lyalema, Liteta, and Serenje. These programs offer a range of services, including daily and Eid Salaah, Madrasah (Quran literacy and memorization), revert spiritual orientation, zakat distribution, training of mwalims (Islamic teachers), funeral services, and nuptial services.
- The Islamiyaat department at offers a comprehensive and immersive learning experience in Quranic studies, Arabic, Islamic knowledge, Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Tareekh.
- We conduct full-time Hifz classes with 32 dedicated students, alongside a specialized Hifz program for an additional 9 students.
- Our learners actively participate in various competitions, including Quran and Nasr competitions, and regularly attend Jalsas and outstation programs.
- The Academy also provides full sponsorship for 88 boarding students, offering weekend extracurricular classes, prayer practice sessions, and organizing educational Islamic trips.
- We also send our students to lead Tarawih prayers during Ramadan, giving them a valuable opportunity to apply their Hifz and serve their communities.
- As part of our holistic approach, we arrange guided Umrah trips annually, providing students with a unique spiritual experience.
- Additionally, our experienced Moulana instructors are frequently invited by other institutions to offer guidance and leadership, further extending the impact of our programs beyond the academy.
- External examinations ensure our students meet high standards, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to excel in their Islamic journey.
