And those to whom Knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to thee from thy Lord ‐ That is the Truth, And that it guides to the Path of the Exalted (In Might), Worthy of all praise. Q 34-6

Zaid bin Akram (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the companions of Rasulullah (peace and blessings upon him) asked him: “Ya Rasulullah, what is this sacrifice?” He said: “It is the way of your forefather Ibrahim (peace be upon him)”. They asked: “What (reward) is for us then?” He replied: “There is a reward for every hair.” They asked: “For the wool, Ya Rasulullah?” He replied: “There is one reward for every strand of wool.” (Ahmad, Ibn Majah)

The objective of Islamic social order is the multi-dimensional development of the society where the moral, social, educational, cultural, religious and physical aspects are developed in equal degrees in the human personality.

Makeni Islamic Society Trust is a complete charitable institution. It’s operations include a Masjid, nursery school, primary and secondary schools, teacher and vocational training colleges, day clinic and welfare programs to name a few. It is through these activities that the society aims to propagate the message of Islam within the local indigenous Zambian community where the moral, social, educational, cultural, religious and physical aspects are developed.

The medium for the attainment of this ideal is the Islamic Centre. It is the centre at which the young and impressionable minds are molded to strive to be good, to do good for their fellow human beings to resist evil and ignore destructive actions.

The environment within which the young mind grows is a powerful factor in determining the attitude and response of the young man or woman either to be noble and good or to be ignoble an un-Islamic.
